About Stillery - Frame Extractor
Stillery pulls still frames out of video and writes them as image files.
Point it at a clip, choose how often you want a frame, and it writes them. Or scrub the player and mark exactly the frames you want, one at a time. Most tools make you pick one of those. Stillery does both, and will layer hand-picked frames on top of a regular interval.
CHOOSE THE FRAMES
โข Every N frames, seconds or minutes, set once for everything or per clip
โข Or Marks only โ nothing is written but the frames you chose
โข Scrub, step a frame at a time, and mark what you want as you go
โข Trim with In and Out points so only part of a clip is used
โข A cut list shows every frame that will be written, before anything is
โข The count you are promised is the count you get
A WHOLE BATCH AT ONCE
Queue as many clips as you like and walk away. Each clip keeps its own settings, so a two-hour interview at one frame a minute and a ten-second title card at every frame can run in the same batch. Extraction runs across all your cores.
BURN IN WHAT YOU NEED
Stack as many overlays as you like onto every exported frame:
โข Custom text โ a watermark, a review note, a client name
โข Timecode
โข Frame number
โข File name
โข Date and time
โข An image, for a logo or a watermark
Position, font, size, colour, opacity and a backing plate are all yours.
Overlays work at two levels. The ones in the left sidebar are drawn on every clip in the queue โ set a watermark once and the whole batch gets it. Any single clip can then add more of its own in the inspector, on top of the global ones, without disturbing anything else. So a batch can carry your studio name throughout while one clip alone also carries a client note.
WRITE WHAT YOU WANT
โข PNG, JPEG, HEIC, TIFF or BMP
โข Original size, 4K, 1080p, 720p, 480p, or 50% and 25% โ never upscaled
โข Frames numbered by their place in the cut list, so a file that fails to write leaves a gap instead of renumbering everything after it
A REAL PLAYER, NOT A PREVIEW
โข A timeline that zooms from the whole clip down to single frames
โข A filmstrip of thumbnails along it
โข Every frame that will be written, marked against the timeline
โข Overlays drawn live, so you see the result before you export
Clips can arrive however suits you โ drag them onto the window, open them from the Finder, drop them on the Dock icon, or pick up where you left off from File โธ Open Recent.
Requires macOS 11.5 or later.
